It is one of the most barbaric social evils against the Muslim girls and women.

It’s a horrible and shameful social evil.

UNFPA,UNAIDS,UNICEF and CEDPA Washington,USA should work together for the eradication of heinous crimes like female circumcision.It’s a global burning problem.

i don’t think this is only upon muslim girls!

I guess as Abdelsamea puts it, this trend has made inroads from the Africa tribal regions!

Dont be so shocked Dear!!

Its a practise which is there for quite sometime.

Women r circumcised to prevent them from having sexual pleasure—thats what they thot when they started executing it and also that it will also curb the flirtatious behaviour of women.U wd be surprised that the womwn were also made to wear a chastity belt- made up of iron and locked–something like panty which was removed only when her man was home.

Little do they realized or thot that that a woman stays with man for love and compassion and not for sex.What an irony!!When a husband is raping his wife ,he expects her to give an impression that she is indeed enjoying the so- called chivalry to boost up his male ego–that he is capable of shelling out exemplary feat in bed too!!!:D

The psyche hasn’t changed much even today.You will find many men having the same attitude towards women–well educated and so called emancipated ones more or less treating woman as some sort of appendage or parasite and that they r always in the lookout for sex if they r not getting it from heir husbands–who cd be suffering from various other problems himself.Always self-imposed on high pedestal–something like a demi-god.

Such practises show serious shortcomings of our progress. Is there any reason to be proud of such progress which has done very little for these innocent victims of gruesome abuse?

Its not a suprise to hear of female circumcision, there are tribes here in Kenya who do it openely without fear or intimidation even with the heightened fight against it with the help of the government and UN agencies,as we refer to it as Female Genital Mutilation i always wonder if the title does not give the right meaning to the doers, however here in Kenya women from the tribes and even those who have undergone through the cut are openly speaking about it though a lot has to be done in order for the world to get rid of this barbaric act.
